She is also known for being in love with tattoos.  One proof of this is that she has more than a dozen of tattoos all over her body. The second is the birthplace of her daughter Zahara in Ethiopia. The third one is the place in Namibia where she gave birth to Shiloh, her biological daughter. The fourth one is in Vietnam where Angelina’s son Plax was born. The sixth is a place in France where her twins were born. The last line is Brad Pitt’s birthplace coordinates in Oklahoma. This also covered the previous dragon tattoo and the name of her ex husband.

3. Cross

A cross and the quote “quod me nutrit me destruit” meaning “What nourishes me, also destroys me” is tattooed on her waist area. She got the tattoo before she married her ex-husband Johnny Lee Miller in 1995. The tattoo was done in Amsterdam and it also covered her previous tattoo of the dragon with blue tongue.

The Japanese symbol for death on her left shoulder blade was her first tattoo. She said that the tattoo will remind herthat she must live. But, she has already removed and replaced it with the Khmer script.

5. Billy Bob and the dragon

6. Khmer Script

The Khmer script was done on her left shoulder blade with the use of the language of Cambodia. It was an incantation to protect her and her adopted son Maddox (who was from Cambodia) from harm. This is the translation of the script, “May your enemies run far away from you. If you acquire riches, may they remain yours always. Your beauty will be that of Apsara. Wherever you may go, many will attend, serve and protect you, surrounding you on all sides.”

7. Know your rights

This tattoo is the title of a song from her favorite band, The Clash. It is tattooed on the nape and in gothic style.

8. Rune Tattoo

This rune tattoo is a symbol of letter H. There is no definite explanation for the tattoo but rumors say that she got the tattoo while dating her ex-boyfriend Timothy Hutton.

9. Strength of Will

This tattoo was made to cover up the previous tattoo that she and her ex-husband Billy Bob Thornton made. The design is an Arabic script which means Strength of Will.

10. Abstract line

This was the tattoo that Billy Bob and Angelina made. This was on her right arm, but now she has covered it with an Islamic script.

11. Bengal Tiger Tattoo

A 12-inch long 8-inch wide tiger tattoo placed on her back. It was made in the year 2004 by the same tattoo artist who made her Khmer script tattoo. While doing the tattoo, the artist enchanted a spell to bless Angelina. This was also a celebration for her being a Cambodian citizen.

12. XIII

The decimal number XIII represents the fact that Angelina doesn’t believe in any superstitions. Later on, she added the V MCMXL: May 13, 1940. These numbers remind her about the speech of Winston Churchill, “I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat”.
